Tropical Santa with drink – Catch the Bug Christmas Chaos #5
Thursday, December 10, 2015
Day 5 of the Catch the Bug Christmas Chaos challenge. Number 5's theme is to choose a 'treat', then base a funny project on that treat's 'recipe'. I chose Sugar Cookies with Sprinkles – which is to make your card a shape other than square or rectangle, add three pieces of bling, and ribbon.
I got a kick out of this Bugaboo Tropical Santa Drink stamp and decided to use it as my focal image. And since a nontraditional Santa needs nontraditional paper, hence the yellow and blue. Now if you were on a tropical island, sucking down rum punch, would you want snow? I don't think so and neither does this Santa. My sentiment is created with Annie BTN font, using CraftArtist 2 software to create a curving text path. See my recent Penguin card for more information on this technique.
I'm partly Fruit Cake – make it funny and use only scraps to create your card – as the papers are leftovers from my Sunshine coloring tutorial card.
