I've never made a Earth Day card before, but felt compelled to do one this year. It's more important than ever, to speak out in support of Mother Earth and taking care of our planet. From global warming that affects us all, to local issues like clean drinking water from our taps, protecting our planet's environment must be a priority – for us today and for tomorrow's future generations.
After all, it's not like we can move anywhere else.
Environmental activist organizations need not just our moral support, but financial support as well, so in honor of the day, and to put my money where my mouth is, I've just made a donation to Earth Justice.
The paper and image on this stamp come from an old, lonnnnngggggg retired ATD Going Places paper pack. So long retired, in fact, I couldn't find any internet image to share with you. You can see where I used another die-cut from the pack on this Scooter get well card, exactly three years ago today. The sentiment is actually part of a very cute free Earth Day digital stamp from Jane's Doodles. I decided to keep the sentiment, but use my own earth image. Some crinkled paper ribbon and pearls are simple embellishments. Here's the stamp in it's entirety; click on this link – Jane's Doodles – to save the stamp for yourself and to see her terms of usage.
Remember . . . love your Mother; Happy Earth Day!
