Have you noticed there's an Advent calendar for everything now? I've seen them with makeup, with perfume, with tools, with tea, with coffee and even (my personal favorite) beer! Which got me to thinking – how about a Paperesse Christmas Card Advent calendar? Why not indeed!
Today's December 1st card uses a pre-colored digital topper from Digi Web Studio – Sweet Wreaths by Cheryl Seslar. Digi Web Studio was having a close out sale recently and I snapped up this set and some others for only $0.85!!! There are eight designs in the set making it a great buy. Although this particular set is no longer available, there are still plenty of Holiday sets at reduced prices. Try as I might, every year I wait 'til the last minute to make my cards and as I'm a slow colorer, these pre-colored toppers are a real time saver.
I like Digi Web Studio designs. They're cute, without being cutesy and the prices are very reasonable. Like these Porky BBQ digital stamps I used for my 4th of July cards this year. Digital paper is from Kristin Aagard's Gingerbread Digital Scrapbooking kit, available at The Lily Pad. What looks like ribbon on this card is actually digital and is included in the kit. The gingerbread heart is from a pack of gingerbread embellishments I've had forever, just waiting for the right card to use them on. The recipient of this card is a French speaker, hence the Joyeux Noël sentiment created with . . . a font I failed to note the name of.
