Masculine Get-Well Lazy Laptop Cat card
Monday, January 15, 2018
I needed a get-well card for a friend of my husband's who was ill a while back. Do you know it's down right difficult to find a suitable get-well digi for a man? I finally settled on this Lazy Laptop Cat from Sliekje's free digital stamps. Sliekje has some great animal digis (check out the Panda on this Valentine's Day card).
Normally, you wouldn't associate a 'kitty' with a guy, but this is a gender neutral kitty. That laptop on his tummy makes this good for anyone and as the recipient was laid up for a while, I thought it eminently appropriate.
To keep the masculine vibe going, I used a gray and blue color scheme. Ribbon and enamel dots dress it up just a bit, not too much. The sentiment ('Get well soon' in French), was created with Dancing Script font.
Supply List
Paper – cardstock, patterened paper
Digital stamp – Sliekje Lazy Laptop Cat
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – Die-namics rectangle stax
Font – Dancing Script

ReplyDeleteDefinitely masculine! The woodgrain & plaid and the colors you chose...without a doubt for a guy! And the image is perfect with him flat on his back and the laptop on his belly. Nice job on the fur for your cat too Shani!
