Happy Summer everyone! To those in the Northern Hemisphere anyway and even if you're not, I hope you're having a great day. This is a two for one card for my niece; the outside says Happy Summer, but inside I've also added a Happy 4th of July sentiment.
The QKR Stampede Sunbathing Potato digi just cracks me up, but once again the husband didn't get it...phfff. Sometimes he and I just do not find the same things funny. Take this thong wearing donkey 'I'm thonging to be your Valentine' card, for example – I have never seen him laugh so hard at a card, and although I found it humorous, I didn't find it that funny.
Paper is Tactile Studio Sunshine digital paper pack. The sentiment font is Mister Sirloin BTN. I've used Toga's Polaroid die to frame the image and for the banner. Embellishment is a felt brad with the tines cut off and some crinkled paper ribbon.

ReplyDeleteLOL! I get it! All the sunglasses are for all the 'eyes' of the potato - duh! Ok, it took me a minute while my brain processed it - but then I certainly laughed out loud! Hubby - that IS funny! But to be fair, I found the donkey in the thong funny too. In addition to the usual amazing pencil work on your image Shani, your card is so creative! I love the elevated, framed focal image and especially the fishtail banner with the felt brad & the crinkled paper ribbon. Those additional elements finish off this project with a flair of elegance that, considering the subject matter, makes it even funnier!
