Happy Easter to everyone observing the holiday today!
I created the images used on this slimline Easter card by layering several PNG digis from one of Prettygrafik's Easter digistamp sets. For only $0.99, you have seven digis in the set to play with. For price, you can't beat these PG sets. I have quite a few of them and there are several cards on the blog made with them (like this Alpaca birthday card – a favorite).
I used a new no-brand slimline die purchased on Amazon with a Christmas gift card. Although I don't like linking to Amazon (they certainly don't need my help to make money), I am giving the link as there is no other identifying information I can share with you to find it. I do think it's a good die and and the price is right. It is however a bit tricky. I thought the center piece of the die would cut a three paned frame, it doesn't. It cuts only the three 'windows'. In order to get a frame like I've done here, I measured and cut a 7.5cm x 20cm piece of the lavender paper, then centered the die on that and ran the die through my Happycut. That's the thing about these no-brand dies. You're never quite sure what you're going to get and sometimes you have to play around with them a bit. I will say this though, they have always cut well for me, better than some expensive dies I've purchased.
Paper is Max Bringmann Sweet paper pad (an Aldi buy). Embellishments are some simple wooden flowers and CANDi dots.
