If you've visited Paperesse before, you might notice that it has a new look. When considering its redesign, I wanted to use vintage elements that reminded me of where I live – France – but I wanted color too (I've been on a turquoise kick lately). Also, I didn't want to spend a lot of time ruffling through my own substantial ephemera collection looking for images, scanning, eliminating backgrounds, etc., so I went to the Internet. I did a bit of surfing around and came upon the blog and boutique of Cajoline Scrap.
I am so impressed. She does absolutely beautiful work! You know that French touch you hear so much about? Well, she has it. The blog and boutique are primarily in French with some English. But with such breathtaking images who needs words? For my header image I used a blend of my own images (the Eiffel tower, for example, is mine from an old postcard) and some Commercial Use sets and Freebies from Cajoline. She has an enormous amount of free images on her blog and for the amount of images her 'for sale' sets contain and their quality, I find her prices very reasonable.
I used images from the Element CU-3 kit (I just love that little Fiat) and Elements CU-7, plus some other freebies on her site.
The background is from her Papiers Menthe Glaciale collection.
If you're in the market for some fantastic images, head on over.
