Sweet Geneva news! Ladurée!
Monday, January 28, 2013
Monsieur Hubby and I were out walking around Geneva Saturday. It was cold so we decided to stop for a coffee. Lo and behold, right next door to my favorite coffee shop a branch of the famous Paris tearoom—Ladurée—has opened a tiny salon de thé. When I say tiny I mean tiny—seven tables maybe. Ladurée has branched out in recent years. This isn't their first outlet in Geneva. There's a shop on Cours de Rive and petite carts in the department stores Globus and Bon Génie selling their famous macarons, but this one on rue de Stand is the only one to have a tearoom space. A place to rest your weary bones and savor their wonderful hot chocolate, cakes and of course, the famous macarons. This means I no longer have to go to Paris for their hot chocolate! Oh happy (sweet) day!
