It's IBSIC time! Be sure and check out the blog candy, one lucky winner will be randomly chosen to win a 4x4 stamp set. Even though it's Valentine's Day today (and a very Happy Valentine's Day to you all!) I decided to go with a vintage look birthday card.
I love vintage ephemera and like to accentuate the vintage look with stamps. The center female image in this card is cut from a 1939 issue of Marie-Claire magazine. I used a stamp from IBS's Paris set with Distress Old Paper ink to accentuate her face. The paper behind the center circle is also from an old magazine.
I took a small piece of blank paper from the magazine and first stamped in Old Paper the flower topiary from IBS French Boutique (unfortunately, it doesn't show up well in the photo) then stamped the Birthday Girl sentiment from IBS Butterfly Wings on top. I decided to use IBS's new die to make a tag.
The shabby pink paper rose is also by IBS. Inside I put more paper from the magazine and on top a piece of blank vintage paper. I have some old notebooks of blank paper that I hoard preciously. I used a bit here and stamped the birthday sentiment from IBS Birthday Greetings.
And this week's photo inspiration:

Love all this vintage-ness! Plus, I was practicing my French by reading the French posts! hee hee I was last in Paris in 2007 and was surprised at how much French I remembered, however once I started to talk, most folks quickly began to speak to me in English! hee hee hee
