Vintage look rusty rose birthday card

I made this vintage look birthday card for a friend of mine to give to a special someone who's celebrating her 40th birthday.

I used one of the rose stamps from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Flowers. I stamped and colored it 4 times, cut away bits from each layer, then assembled them with foam pads for a 3D effect. The sentiment stamp is also IBS.

To give it more texture and in keeping with the vintage look I was striving for, I got out the sewing machine on this one and sewed down the edges.

Material

StampsInspired by Stamping Elegant Flowers and Big Wishes
Ink/pencils—Versafine black ink, Caran D'Ache Luminance 6901 colored pencils
Paper—Pink Paislee London Market and cardstock
Dies/punch/embossing—Keisi Art doily, Die-namics circles and corners, Fiskars punch
Embellishments—ribbon, buttons
