My husband and I celebrated our anniversary last week; this was his card. Its 3D topper is a decoupage sheet by Judith Howell, downloaded from Instant Card downloads. Its standard print out is sized for A4 paper, which was a bit too big for my taste. I opted to print it out on A5. It made the flowers harder to cut out and layer, but it left more room to have a contrasting background.
"But is it masculine?" you may ask. No, probably not, but I think anniversary cards needn't be too masculine. I think my husband is secure enough in his masculinity not to be bothered by a less than testosterone laden anniversary card (good a reason as any to justify flowers, now isn't it?!). I've had the charm I hung from the twine forever and a day, just waiting to use it and it went perfectly with the topper hearts. It says "S'aimer toujours" (to love each other always).
Material
Paper—Elaïa Design's Crépuscule pink paper, Judith Howell 3D Double Heart Floral Spray sheet, cardstock

Hearts and flowers--perfect for an anniversary card.
ReplyDeleteOMG, this is GORGEOUS!! Men love flowers, too, and this is just the ticket for an anniversary card. Actually, it's pretty enough to place on a small easel and serve as tabletop art. I hope he put this on display as it should be viewed regularly. The colors, fussy cutting and the design itself are stunning!
