I have a very large collection of vintage ephemera, from the late 1800's to the 1970's (I think the 70's is more retro, isn't it?) and I haven't really been using it; I've decided to change that. This cute little Siamese cat family topper is cut from a 1957 magazine. It is the original, not a copy.
Some of my books I don't want to cut—those that are very old, but still in good condition. Others, like this magazine, that are not so old and are not in good shape, I will cut.
I did the outside and inside sentiments on my computer (Curls MT font). I kept the embellishments fairly simple and used a sequin ribbon for a bit of shine.
I'm playing along with this week's Seize the Birthday Challenge and Stamp and Doodle Challenge #2 on this one.
Material
Topper—Siamese cat family from a 1957 women's magazine
Paper—cardstock, Studio Calico Memoir
Dies—Die-namics rectangles and corners
Embellishments—ribbon
awe, this is purrrrrfect :)
ReplyDeletewell if things from the 70.s are retro then i must be vintage as my children were born in the 70's lol
