I'm playing along with a few challenges with this "deer" little card. It's challenge #3 at the new Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge blog. The theme this week is "Vintage or Retro". Heck, that's not right up my alley, that's at my front door. The central image of this card is cut from a 1953 French Farmer's magazine. This little deer is a favorite of hunters and is called a chevreuil in French. They're very small (to just about a meter in height) and quite common in our forests. Note—no priceless magazine was harmed in the making of this card; I only cut from the ones that are already falling apart (just so you know). The sentiment on the outside and inside were generated from my computer.
I'm also playing along with Cardz 4 Guyz challenge #8 "Nature". I was sorry to see the Cards for Men challenge stop in December of last year and am glad there's a new male challenge to once again participate in.
I'm also entering this card in Everybody Art Challenge #268 to use "Light green and brown".
I've used the sketch (flipped) from Tuesday Morning Sketches #239.
