Vintage look 4th of July card
Thursday, June 26, 2014
The 4th of July has a way of sneaking up on me. France's national holiday is the 14th, so there's nothing to remind me of it here. Last year I completely forgot and didn't send a single card to anyone. I was on track to repeat that again this year and realized just last night that the 4th of July is next week! It takes a good week to 10 days for a normal, fairly flat card to get back to the USA so if I wanted anything to arrive anywhere near the 4th I needed to get creating! I whipped out three cards last night in a hurry and popped them in the mail this morning.
This card is one of the three. I took a free vintage postcard from Vintage Holiday Crafts and used it as my topper. The papers are also free and are from Cottage Market's Patriotic digital paper pack. The buttons are favorites from my vintage hoard and the gold twine is upcycled from a chocolate box.
