Birthday/Thanksgiving combo card featuring Marshmallow & Honey Love Fall digital stamp

Birthday & Thanksgiving combo card featuring Marshmallow & Honey Love Fall Digi Web Studio stamp, by Paperesse.

This is a combo Birthday/Thanksgiving card headed States side to my cousin. As with this card for my grandmother, her birthday is just a few days before Thanksgiving, so I decided to conserve a bit of paper (and postage!) and combine the two. The Thanksgiving sentiment is written inside with my personal message.

By the way, are those of you living in the States having problems with your mail lately? For a while there, my cards and letters were arriving to the States in a week to ten days, now it's almost a month. And it's not just my cards going States side, but those coming from the States to me. My niece mailed off a Halloween card and a Birthday card to me a month ago and I still haven't received them. It's only mail involving the States that's problematic, so I tend to think the problem is there.

This card uses a digital stamp from the Digi Web Studio Marshmallow & Honey Love Fall stamp set. This set is on sale for only $1.00; a pretty good buy for six stamps in the set! The paper is scrap leftovers. I recognize the principal background as one from Echo Park's hybrid Story of Fall paper pack, but I'm not sure about the others. Embellishments are simple rusty look pearls. The sentiment was created with Dancing Script OT font.

  1. Beautiful layout on this one Shani! Love how you added the pearls on the same layer at opposing sides - really calls attention to the design! Do you ever get tired of hearing me blather on about your blending and shading skills?
Such a light hand you have with your pencils - I create the dreaded waxy build up so early in the process with my dead weight hand grip! Heavy sigh. Every single item, every limb and piece of clothing, etc. all reflect a light source with such a subtle blend - it is a delight to enlarge and study your technique! Wish we could sit at the same table and color and trade tips!
