Christmas Card Advent Calendar #3 – Little Snow Guys Christmas card

Christmas card featuring Digi Web Studio Little Snow Guys 1 topper, by Paperesse.

Today's card features yet another clip art set (pre-colored topper) from Digi Web Studio. It's from Cheryl Seslar's Little Snow Guys 1. As I mentioned with card #1, I bought some of these sets a couple of weeks ago on sale for only $0.85 each (and that's with six images in the set!). The good news is Digi Web Studio has some great sets still on sale for $1.00, but the bad news is this particular set is no longer available.

My paper is a mix of traditional and digital. The sentiment is one I've created myself. I've made a complete A4 sheet of them. Digital stamps haven't really caught on in France and if I want to use French digital greetings I have to make them. Meilleurs Vœux is the French equivalent to 'Season's Greetings'. You don't wish someone a 'Happy New Year' in France until the New Year has arrived; it's considered bad luck. Many people skip the Christmas cards and send New Year greetings after the 1st of January. That's actually a good thing for me, it buys me time. If my cards just arrive sometime around Christmas and the first week of January they're not late.

Embellishments are a little wooden snowflake and a backless velvet brad (a brad in my opinion, is just a button waiting to have the thongs cut off).

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, miscellaneous patterned paper
Digital pre-colored topper – Digi Web Studio Cheryl Seslar's Little Snow Guys 1
Dies – Die-namic circle stax
Embellishments – wooden snowflake, brad

  1. Oooh - I like this one a lot! I can't quite put my finger on why this jumps out at me - the colors, all the white space surrounding the image, the placement of the sentiment and the snowflake... all seem to contribute to what is appealing to my eye. Most people would say "who cares, if you like it you like it!" LOL! I think we are always breaking down what works to the elements so we can learn from it - and reproduce it! Makes a great card Shani!
