This Cactus card featuring QKR Stampede Christmas Cactus digital stamp is a case in point (as is this Santa Claws Crab step card). The stamp isn't quite what you'd associate with Christmas and the paper is not Christmas at all, but more of my recent Aldi grocery store find I've been using quite a bit of lately (i.e. my recent Popsicle card).
I used some no-brand inexpensive die-cuts mounted on foam pads for embellishment. I created the sentiment with Mister Sirloin BTN font.

Ooooh - love those embellishments! Never thought of die cutting them out of foam... cool idea! That looks like that image was so fun to color - love all the opportunities for shading!
