Masculine vintage look birthday card
I needed a masculine birthday card for a friend recently and decided to use up some of my vintage look embellishments languishing in my stash. I used to make these types of cards more often, like this Masculine Wine Tag, or this Paris Eiffel Tower Birthday card.
But, as my tastes have changed I make them less and less. And too, postage prices have been a deciding factor. These type of cards need more protection than just a flat envelope thus rendering them much more expensive to mail. This card was a hand delivery and since postage was not an issue, I thought it would be nice to use up some goodies.
There's a mix of real and 'wanna-be' vintage on this card. The button and Happy Birthday tag are the real thing, as is the paper behind the frame; the rest are stash bits and pieces.
Supply List
Paper – cardstock, patterned paper
Rubber stamp – Inspired by Stamping Happy Birthday sentiment
Ink – Versacolor Ultimate Pigment Ink black
Miscellaneous embellishments
I'm linking up with: Little Red Wagon #488.
This is wonderful, Shani! I love the papers and those splendid embellishments. Always nice when we can use up some of the stash, right? I adore the wine tag too! Thanks for joining us at Little Red Wagon.
ReplyDeleteShani, what a great card! Love the layers, embellishments, and burlap! Even if it wasn't hand-delivered, it would have been worth the extra postage! Crafty hugs, Lisa
ReplyDeleteBrava! Love the bits and pieces, the layers of stamping, CS, burlap, embellishments, corners... the design is a delightful combo of things I want to see and feel! I just enlarge your card to full screen and visually explore what you have put together - makes me grin!
