Fluttering by butterfly birthday card

How's the weather over your way? We're fortunate that we have a nice balcony with a view over the green space of our apartments as we shelter at home. The trees are leafing out and fruit trees starting to bloom. My neighbor on the ground floor has a lovely garden, too, with bright yellow daffodils and purple hyacinths popping up.

I think it was the hyacinths that inspired my color choice for this card, a spring look birthday card, featuring a digi and sentiment from Imagine That Digistamps – Goin' Buggy. I don't use purple on cards that often, but I always like it when I do, like this purple tulip thank you card.

I've had the little no-brand butterfly border die a while now and never used it. I was glad to finally put it to use (confession – I forgot I had it). The papers on this card, with the exception of the purple gingham, are from my scrap file. I don't even know where they originally came from. I'm trying to use up bits and pieces left over from other projects; it gives me such a warm, thrifty feeling when I do.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, patterned paper
Digital Stamp – Imagine That Digistamps Goin' Buggy

  2. Fabulous card, Shani! So very spring! I'm loving all the purple. Friday was a beautiful day here....a month or so ago we lost a large limb off one of our trees so I spent the day cleaning it up. It's been wet & rainy since though. :(

It is a nice reminder that there are beautiful things to see, even amidst such heartbreak. I wanted to thank you for leaving me such joyful comments; I truly appreciate it! On my lunch break now and wanted to drop you a quick line to send a hug!!
