Here's wishing a Happy Easter Weekend to everyone observing the holiday!
It was hard for me to write this post, I don't really know what to say. I don't want want to rain on anyone's (Easter) parade and yet...I can't act all cheery and pretend that the Covid-19 pandemic isn't creating a great deal of suffering in the world, it is – physically, emotionally, economically. It's all a bit overwhelming. Be safe everyone, stay home, hug your loved ones if you can, call the ones you can't. Be thankful for the day's gifts (the most precious ones are free).
I made three Easter cards this year and ended up not mailing a single one. I felt it more important for me to stay in than to make a special card-mailing trip to the post office. Even if I had mailed them, with so few planes flying, I doubt they'd have reached the States in time. Still, I have to say, of the three I made, this one is my favorite.
The three bunnies digital freebie is from Beccy's Place. I colored the bunnies and then fussy cut them to fit within this no-brand frame die. The nontraditional paper (no Easter pastels on this card!) is retired Prima Marketing Doodle Deux Collection Two-By-Two. I realized as I was writing this post, that I used this same paper pack on another nontraditional Easter card last year. Which gives me pause...if I've used this as Easter paper two years running than is it not now traditional? Hmm.
Embellishments are a paper bow dressed up with an enamel dot. I created the Easter sentiment with Amelie font.
