So tell me, do you consider this card made with the Presscut Scalloped Semi-circle Card Die to be a step card? I do (there are two steps, are there not?), although the die it's made with isn't described that way. I've made some standout cards with this die – this foot (soccer) card for one of my husband's birthdays is a favorite, as is this bright Happy Halloween card.
I like this card's different design, and the fact that the die cuts the whole card in one go. I've always used it facing this direction, but you can turn it around if you want. I couldn't find many links to it (I'm afraid it may be discontinued), but the one link I found with it still for sale shows what I consider to be the back (where I put my sentiment) as the front. As you can see below, it folds down nicely for mailing.
I used a stamp from Prettygrafik's Polar Bear digital stamps set ($0.99 for the entire set) as the focal point. Papers and snowflake borders are past magazine freebies from Simply Cards & Papercraft. The decorative snowflake die-cuts are part of a set of seven First Edition Snowflake dies I snapped up at my favorite outlet shop for only €3.99 this week (the one link I found showed them at £15.06 online so I was quite pleased). Like the card die, it looks like these might not be around anymore. I used Sizzix Thinlits Drip Edge die for the bottom part of the card and as with the step card and snowflake dies, apparently it's discontinued, too. Hmmm...I'm beginning to see a pattern here.
