Snow in September! Yep, we've had a snow in my part of the world. Well, not where I live at a lower altitude, but about 10 minutes north of me they have. We've had snow at 1500 meters in the Jura, Alps and Pyrenees mountain ranges. Chez moi it's rain and we're hovering around 6°C (42°). I've changed into warmer clothing (including a thermal undershirt) and am telling myself I will not turn on the heater in September.
I used my tried and true step card die to create the base for today's Happy Fall card, featuring Digital Delights Fall Mitzy and Screechy Crow stamp. Papers are leftovers from the scrap bin. The striped paper was used on this Happy Fall Ya'll card and the beigey cross paper on this Go Nuts! birthday card. It gives me such a nice, thrifty feeling to successfully use project left-overs.
The sentiment was created with Buffet Script font. Embellishment are felt leaves and buttons.
Paper – cardstock, scrap bin leftovers
Digital stamp – Digital Delights Fall Mitzy and Screechy Crow
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – Crafts-too Presscut step card die
Embellishments – felt leaves, buttons

Oooh, that's an early onset for winter.

Snow near you already! And so cold! Gosh, it feels like not that long ago Europe had a heat wave?? I don't blame you for not wanting to turn on the heater in September. We refused as well. But, our days are hovering around 75 degrees F, so that's not bad as the high for the day. Nights are cooler, but we will happily use our blankets and quilts.
ReplyDeleteYour card is cute! The little girl reminds me of a Holly Hobby doll I had when I was young. :-) Thank you for your comments recently, Shani. I so appreciate your visits!
Snow---brrr! Yes, can't go wrong with a step card! Amazing coloring and love the felt leaves.
