I've got some birthdays coming up and I couldn't decide if I should do a gal's or guy's card first. I decided this design and paper would work for either/or.
Did you notice the markers in my photo? Yes, those are (gasp!)...alcohol markers and yes, I did use them to color Mr. Penguin. If you follow Paperesse, you know I'm a confirmed colored pencil user so this is a first for me. I picked up a big 120 marker mystery brand box at my local outlet shop this week and thought I'd give them a try. Update – please see 15/09/20 post, these markers are counterfeit.
Paper is Max Bringmann Graffiti paper pad. I've only ever found this paper at Aldi. Every time I do an internet search for a link, the only thing I find are my own cards made with it. I paper pieced Mr. Penguin's bow tie and glitzed him up with a purple enamel dot. I created a curved sentiment with Candy Round font.
