Thanksgiving Card featuring Beccy's Place Pumpkins and Sunflowers Free Digital Stamp

Thanksgiving greetings to all Americans! This is my 2nd Thanksgiving card of the season (the first was this Country Cabin card) and features Beccy's Place Pumpkins & Sunflowers freebie. I guess I'm doing good this year to get two cards done. Especially when you consider last year I didn't make any. I used to make them every year (this Let's Get Basted Thanksgiving card is a past favorite), but after twenty years here in France and my mother's passing, it's not as important to me. Some years I'll observe it. There have been times when my husband and I have gone out for a special lunch to mark the day (of course that's out of the question this year), or I've invited friends over and cooked (again, not gonna happen this year). But, more often than not, I've celebrated the day mainly in my memories, the best way I think.

Paper is from a  6 x 6 pad I picked up in a grocery store sale bin a few years back. Its colors are wonderful for autumn and masculine cards. I've used the heck out of it (this guitar pickin' masculine birthday card is but one example).

I liked the image and paper combination so much, I didn't think it needed much in the way of embellishments; I stuck a bow tied twine kraft tag behind the digi and left it at that. The sentiment was created with Housegrind font.

  2. Your card is beautiful Shani, you've done a wonderful job colouring the image. I like that you kept the embellishments to a minimum... I agree that it needs very little. Aside from the gorgeous colours and patterns, the paper you used has a beautiful texture too, I can see why you like it so much. Fabulous!
    Cheers,
