Annabel's Knitty Kitty Digis Koren's Cat digital stamp is front and center on this punny French Christmas card. This is the second time I've used this stamp. Its first incarnation was for a winter birthday card (just a reminder, you still have a few days to grab this digi for free). The stamp's clean PNG format means you can easily layer it against other backgrounds, like the free digital Hugo l'Escargot Noel Frise Maisons coloring page shown here.
The French pun comes from the expression 'Nos pensées les plus chaleureuses' which means 'Our warmest thoughts' and you'd use it to let someone know you're thinking of them. The 'cha–' sound at the beginning of 'chaleureuses' sounds a lot like the 'cha–' sound in 'chat' which means 'cat'. So...'No pensées les plus chat–leureuses' is playing on the cat image. It's harder for me to come up with humorous card ideas in French. I've had a few successes though, like these favorite Sans Gluten Santa (Gluten Free Santa) and Et Merde Santa stuck in a chimney cards.
Paper is Craft Sensations Winter paper pad. Sentiment was created with DJB Coffee Shoppe Espresso font. Silver pearl stick-ons give a bit of bling.
