Yet another slimline card today, this one is for a friend's upcoming birthday. I've been making quite a few of these lately, e.g. this vintage masculine pocket watch card featuring January Digi Stamp Diva Pattie's Creations free pocket watch image (note –you've got 'til the end of January to request your own free digi). There are a couple of reasons for this – number one, I'm enjoying using a new format, and number two, since I've changed how I photograph my cards and purchased a new lightbox setup, I can easily photograph this card size, which I couldn't before.
The digi is Pattie's Creation's Silly Birds. As I did with the aforementioned pocket watch card, I removed all the background from the stamp, creating a PNG image. I then sized them down, flipped the direction of one, and layered it over the other, creating this line of birds. This is the beauty of digital stamps; you can do so many things with a single image. This PNG Tutorial post explains how I do this.
I then added my own sentiment 'Happy Birdday to You' and the bird 'Tweets' with Pea Elizabeth Ashley font. I plan for my inside sentiment to say, 'Happy Birdday, 'cause you're the tweetest!' Paper is an outlet sourced TEDI Design Block paper pad. Pearlized pink heart stickers add a bit of bling.
