Just to let readers know, Paperesse is going on hiatus; I've decided to take a blogging break. I've got some home improvement projects I'm working on and card making has fallen off my priority list.
I did want to share this card with you though, a birthday card for my Harry Potter fan niece. I actually finished it last month, but was waiting 'til after her birthday to post it. It sports the Harry Potter Collage digital stamp from Bugaboo (the birthday greetings are inside).
Believe it or not, my most viewed and pinned card of all time on Pinterest is the first Harry Potter card I made for her a couple of years back. It's a nice card, but honestly I don't think its that nice. Apparently, there are a lot of Harry Potter fans out there.
Paper is a Gryffindor mix from my scraps stash. You might recognize a bit of Monkey from Design Bundles, a little Coffee Shop Blog Freebie Mabel, and some who-knows-what. I topped it off with a bit of crinkled paper ribbon and some velvet brands with the tines cut off.
Paper – cardstock, digital patterned paper
Digital stamps – Bugaboo Harry Potter Collage
Embellishments – crinkled paper ribbon, brads
Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol ink markers
Art-n-Fly white pen
A great Harry Potter card. Good luck with the home improvements and we'll look forwrd to you joining in with the challenge again once it's all done.

This is a super card which I'm sure that your niece loved. Great colour combo and mix of papers too. I hope the home improvements go well and look forward to seeing you back in blogland soon.

Fabulous card, Shani! Loving all the layers and the colouring is fantastic! I think your other HP card is awesome too.
ReplyDeleteTotally understand the need to take a blogging break. We will miss you!!
Love those velvet brads! I knew it before I read that they were velvet; they just have that soft, richness to them. Perfect accessories on this cute card. I hear you on home improvement projects taking up a lot of one's time. I just took my own hiatus, so I know how it goes. We will be here when you're ready for cards again! HUgs to you, Shani!
ReplyDeleteA truly magical card. Thank you for sharing with us.
