Banana Get-Well Card – Peel Better Soon

Yeah, yeah...it's a corny pun, but I like it and I thought it suited this QKR Stampede Banana Digi perfectly. This is this digi's second outing. I used it the first time as a birthday card. I like QKR Stampede digis; they're just a wee bit quirky and that suits me, e.g. this sunglasses wearing sun bathing potato card.

The paper on this card is a small packet of handmade paper from Artemio. I've probably had this a good ten years or more and never even opened the packet. I don't know if the photo really shows it, but the paper is glittery, which normally isn't my taste (probably, why I haven't used it and begs the question – why did I buy it?), but in this case I think the paper's gold glitter sets off the banana image quite nicely. Anyway, I feel all thrifty finally using it.

The sentiment was created with Mister Sirloin BTN Rare font. Embellishments are crinkled paper ribbon and some enamel dots.

  6. Punny cards are always the best cards! I agree, the glitter paper does set off the banana nicely. Always good when you can justify something you've bought....even if it's been 10 years since its purchase. (:
