To create this sympathy card, I cut a page from an outlet shop find coloring book, ran that page through my printer to add the sentiment (a Simply Cards & Papercraft digi sentiment freebie) and colored just what I needed of the page to use with my ragged edge no-brand dies as the base. I don't think anyone enjoys making a sympathy card and I struggle to find the right balance between an attractive card, yet one appropriately sober as befits the occasion (e.g. this mum's blossoms sympathy card).
I'm not sure I succeeded with this one. I think I went a bit too bright with the flower coloring and tried to tone it all down with the paper choices. I did go ahead and mail it, however and the recipient did send me a message thanking me for it, so I guess it was okay. When it comes right down to it, I think the most important thing is just to let someone know you're thinking about them at times like this.

You're right, the most important thing is to let them know they are being thought of during a difficult time. I think your card is lovely, and I don't think the pink is too bright at all.
