Merci (Thank You) Card With Rose Die Cut

Remember this craft stash addition post? I used the rose die shown there to create this card. I have to admit, I don't know if I'll be using it again. Although I do like the end result, it took a lot of piecing together to get a look I liked.

I used some other hither to unused/rarely used stash items on this card. I've had the no-brand tag die for ages and I think this is the first time I've used it. I have a pack of these little dotted frames and never used them. The dried leaves were something I used to use a lot (e.g. this autumn card), but got away from and the mesh behind the tag I've had a roll of forever and a day and never used. The paper is retired Folia.  The merci embellishment is from a pack I've been hoarding because I really like this embellishment and don't want to run out. I've used it painted black on this Country Music Chick card and au naturel on this Masculine Wine Tag (which I made in 2014 and still have because I like it too much to give away). The little 'dew' drops on the rose are a new addition.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Folia paper
Dies – no-brand rose, tag and border
Embellishments – wooden frame, dried leaves, twine, mesh, 'dew' drops, merci

  3. So pretty! I kwym about piecing those dies...it can get frustrating! Always nice to use that little used/unused stash, isn't it? I always think of it as an accomplishment...and that's one less thing 'I've never used' so I don't have to feel as guilty about buying new stuff - ha!
