If you read Paperesse regularly, you've seen my posts regarding my new great-niece who was born at the very end of last year (my best belated Christmas gift EVER!). So far this year I've made her 1st Valentine, 1st Easter, and 1st Halloween cards. I was trying to cover the major American holidays, but I plum forgot about the 4th of July. Oh well, I did send a 1st month mini-album I made to her folks this summer, so I guess that makes up for it. Which brings us to this card post today – her 1st Thanksgiving!
My niece always dresses her with cute little bows around her head, so I thought this digi from Prettygrafik's Thanksgiving Stamps set was perfect. The paper is from my scraps folder. I've had that center paper (American Crafts Night Fall Autumn Harvest) a long, long time. I first published this Happy Fall vintage look card back in 2012 with it, then this Scarecrow fall card in 2017. I've got one little bitty rectangle of it left I could use for an accent, but not enough to use as an entire card base. I liked this paper; I'm sorry to use it up.
In lieu of ribbon, I used a no-brand border strip die-cut layered with a ric-rac die-cut. Sentiment font is Segoe Script. A wooden leaf and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ripened Pumpkin give a bit of embellisment.
Paper – cardstock, paper scraps
Digital stamp – Prettygrafik Thanksgiving Stamps set
Dies – no-brand postage stamp edged square, stitched rectangle and border strip dies, Crafter's Companion Gemini Fancy Borders ric-rac
Embellishments – wooden leaf, Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Crystal Drops
Art-n-Fly white pen
