It's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge this week at Little Red Wagon and she's saying she wants us to 'Make it move!', i.e. slider cards, shaker cards, etcetera – any paper craft with some movment. Get a move on and come link up with us!
When I saw the theme for this week I didn't know what I would make. I've never made a slider card, and my only attempt at a shaker card was this baseball themed card from long ago, and on that one I feel like I cheated as I used ready made shaker elements. Fast forward to last week...I was wondering around my local outlet shop and just happened to come across a Studio Light slider card die (SL-ES-CD16) reduced to a fraction of its online too-expensive-for-me price; it was meant to be. An informational Youtube video later (there were NO instructions in the package), and here you have the final design.
In the instruction video, the card was created in a landscape format, but I decided to do mine portrait. I chose this digi from Prettygrafik's Puppy Party and flipped it to face the other direction. The punny sentiment was created with Avignon Pro font. I dressed it up with matt enamel dots, no-brand border die strips, and some ribbon on the pull tab. I also created place for another sentiment on the very back of the card. The video below shows you how it opens:

So super cute Shani, gorgeous colouring and love the slider, I have never made one, it is on my to do list, so now I'm inspired..
