LRW #694 and a Lady Bug Encouragement/Get-Well Card

Doni's our hostess today at Little Red Wagon and she'd like to see our encouragement or get-well makes. My card this week would work for either one. It features the now defunct Whimsie Doodles Hang in There ladybug digi, combined with the sentiment from Polkadoodles Hang in There Little Monkey digi set. This sentiment works great with any kind of hanging animal/insect digi (e.g. this past sloth get well card).

I'm using a new cutting die with this card (Studio Light Die Essentials 257) picked up at my local outlet shop a few weeks back. It's an envelope die with two rectangles for a single layer inside card. I don't have an envelope die so I thought I'd give it a go. It was reduced to €3.99 and I see it online for anywhere from €7.95 to €13.90, so the price was right. You can see the envelope I made here, too. I decided on a regular folded card for the inside and used the smaller rectangle die for the patterned paper. The card is small at 12.5cm x 8.3cm, but I think a single layer card would work nicely in the envelope for a quick gift enclosure card for flowers, wine, etc.

Paper is Folia Motifblock Garden, dressed up with no-brand border strip and ric-rac die-cuts. The little ladybug embellishments are long, long ago magazine freebies.

Come see what the other girlfriends have created this week and link up with us!

  6. I love that green envelope, noted it right off. Your card is so well designed from the beautifully colored image to the ladybugs on the paper and the embellishment. This would definitely give me a lift.
