LRW #701 Masculine Birthday Card Featuring Bugaboo Ewe Rock Digi Stamp

Girlfriend Doni is Star Struck at Little Red Wagon this week! Which means she wants to see stars on our projects. Click on over to see what the other girlfriends have come up with and link up your own star studded creations!

My starry make is this card for my Seattle Cousin's birthday. I've labeled this post as a 'masculine birthday card', as it is for a guy, but I don't know that it seems masculine (and a ewe is a female sheep after all). Really, when you think about it, what looks exclusively masculine and feminine anymore? I think those lines have blurred and as far as I'm concerned tant mieux (all the better). I chose this Bugaboo Ewe Rock digi because #1 it's punny (and dear reader you know how I like a good pun) and #2 my cousin is a guitarist. I regularly search out guitar digis to use on his cards, like the one on this Gibson Bear card, a past favorite.

The paper is Alyssiane's Au Coeur de La Ville and like the Bugaboo digi, the company that makes it is no longer in business (sigh). It's embellished with a crinkled paper strip and some matching wooden stars.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Alyssiane's Au Coeur de La Ville
Digital stamp/sentiment – Bugaboo Ewe Rock
Dies – no-brand stitched rectangle
Embellishments – gold crinkled paper strip, wooden stars
 Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers
Art-n-Fly white pen

  6. Love this! Fantastic papers and colours. Isn't it awesome when you can use an image that is meaningful to the recipient? I agree...tant mieux. When I think in term of masculine or feminine when it comes to cards, I'm thinking more of them as a theme rather than whether it's suitable for a male or female. Masculine = clean lines, bold or dark colours, feminine = softer colours, more embellishments etc.

  7. Ewe definitely rocked this challenge, Shani. I love the colors youʻve used and of course I love all things Bugaboo (still sad about her closing). I would consider this wonderful card suitable for anyone.
