Time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and this week's hostess, Girfriend Brenda, says, 'Let the Sun Shine'. Simply put, she'd like to see a sun on our projects. Click on over and see what the other girlfriends have created and link up your own sunny, paper-craft creations.
Now that we're almost in July, everyone seems to be going on vacation or planning one...even Santa!!! Can't say as I blame him, I'd get a bit tired of North Pole cold all the time, too. The main Santa digi is from Prettygrafik's Santa Vacation set. I did a little digital manipulation and layering around the main Santa image, adding the sunglasses and cocktail PNG images. The sunshine PNG image is from the Hoppy Easter set. I erased it's smiling face and placed it behind Santa. Paper is Kesi Art Edwin (longgggg retired).
Since I need some more French Christmas cards for my stash I used a French sentiment, created with Candy Round BTN font. This is basically the French equivalent to 'warm winter wishes'. This is my fallback funny French sentiment and I've used it a few times now (as on this tush warming Snowman card). I've topped it all off with some yellow enamel dots and my trusty no-brand border and ric-rac dies.
Paper – cardstock, Kesi Art Edwin (retired)
Digital stamp – Prettygrafik Santa Vacation and Hoppy Easter sets
Dies – Die-namics square stax, Gemini Fancy Borders ric-rac, and no-brand border strip,
Embellishments – enamel dots

Hi Shani ...Your talent for digital manipulation is amazing! Love that you were able to give Santa a wonderful summer vacation in the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though the cocktail and sunglasses are part of the original! What a great job you’ve done!! Such a fun twist on the typical Christmas card with snow. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, not only can you color like a dream, you can create a scene like a tech wizard! This is such a fun card, Shani! BTW, I think I saw the big guy riding a moped in Waikiki last weekend, no fooling! The moped was even red😊.
ReplyDeleteAdorable cute Santa and card Shani and you are so clever to ,merge images, I'm still learning, he looks like a New Zealand Santa as we have Christmas in the Summer..

What a fun card! I love the colours and your image layers is fantastic! Those sunglasses are perfect....I originally thought you used Glossy Accents on them, but on closer inspection, I think you've just coloured them so brilliantly it just looks like Glossy Accents - wtg!
ReplyDeleteFUN card, Shani. Like the summery christmas style !
