Here's a 'masculine' birthday card for you today (note the quotation marks there). This card is going to a guy, but it could just as easily be for a gal. I used a digi from 2 Cute Ink – Bake Me a Cake as the focal point. I like 2 Cute Ink stamps, their bold lines make them easy to color. This Country Music Chick thank you card is a past favorite.
This is supposed to be a squirrel. Even though he (this one's a guy squirrel) doesn't look much like the squirrels around us, I did color him red as most squirrels around here tend to be. Our squirrels (écureuil roux Français) are rusty red to a dark reddish-black with pointy tufted ears and though they are a protected species, we see a lot in the trees around our home.
This is the first outing for this fancy-edged frame die I picked up at a discount store a few months back. I think I paid €3.00 for it. Paper is some leftover from my stash. I dressed it up with my ric-rac die and some copper dots. The sentiment was created with Tw Cen MT font.
Paper – cardstock, stash paper
Dies – no-brand frame, Gemini Fancy Borders Ric-Rac
Embellishment – copper dots
Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Art-n-Fly white pen
Great masculine card, love the cute image and colour combination of your dies and P.paper.Thank you for joining us at Stamping Sensations.

So really beautiful! Great masculine card. This squirrl is so amazing and so beautifully coloured. I love the wonderful matching colours of the background paper and the colouring of the image. And you framed your image with a stunning die-cut. So great.

Such a sweet image! Wonderful card! I took a peek at the French red squirrel....it does look a bit different from the North American variety. Their ears are definitely way cuter! (:
