This is a birthday card for Seattle Cousin. I usually send him something with a guitar (he plays), like this strummin' Gibson Bear from a few years back. But, it just so happens that he's also a former DJ, so this Dr. Digi's DJ Dad Rock digital stamp seemed especially appropriate, and too, it cracked me up! Dr. Digi's has some great humorous digis and goodness knows funny digital stamps are hard to find (and if you know of some, drop me a line in the comments!).
When I bought this digi one of the colored examples showed it colored on kraft paper. I have only colored a digi on kraft one time – on this 'This Bud's for You' one layer card, and nothing since. Which I don't know why really, because I liked how the first one turned out (I guess I just haven't thought about it). Anyway, back to this card...since I'm using pencils again, I decided to give kraft a chance.
Although I'm pleased with the result, let me tell ya', this was not an easy digi to color; it took a whole lot of time and pencil sharpening to get all that small detail in. Paper is Max Bringmann Graffiti block. The sentiment was created with Avignon Pro font. Black ribbon and enamel dots top it off.
Paper – cardstock, Max Bringmann Graffiti block
Die – Die-namics rectangle stax
Embellishments – ribbon, enamel dots
Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Art-n-Fly white pen
