I hope you're enjoying watching the Olympics. We're following the games on television, but opted out of visiting Paris to see any events live. Tickets are very expensive and hotel prices have skyrocketed.
With the Olympics and all eyes on Paris, when I saw this new Paris Kitty digi at Di's Digi Stamps, I knew I had to have it! It's the perfect focal point for this get-well card (bon rétablissement in French) for a friend of mine who loves Paris and visits often.
I did something a little different with the Eiffel Tower. Instead of my Luminance pencils I used metallic gray pencils from the new Nassau Fine Art Metallic Mixed Media set I recently found on sale for only CHF 5.00 (about $5.00). I'd been wanting some metallic pencils and was so pleased to find these at such a reasonable price. There are 12 pencils in the set, 6 watercolor blocks and a water color 'pen'.
For even more French flair, I decided to follow Di's website coloring suggestion and added stripes to the Kitty's shirt in my image processing app before printing. I dressed up the digital paper with a wooden flower and flat-backed bead. The sentiment was created with Dancing Script OT font.
I think I must have a thing for cats on get-well cards; this completely crashed-out cat is another past favorite (yep, just another Childless Cat Lady here).
